Piperazine pyrophosphate is a flame retardant monomer with carbon source, gas source and acid source at the same time, the appearance of piperazine pyrophosphate is white or off-white powder, it has the characteristics of good thermal stability, high carbon formation efficiency, low smoke, non-toxic, light aging resistance, low moisture absorption, etc., it can be used in combination with halogen free flame retardant, such as MPP, MCA, APP, Aluminum Hypophosphite, etc, to form a highly efficient carbon formation flame retardant system. The flame retardant compounded with piperazine pyrophosphate has better flame retardancy, heat resistance and stability, and can be used for flame retardant polypropylene PP, PE, epoxy resin EP, polyamide PA6, EVA, TPE, TPU, etc. It can make the material reach UL94V-0 (0.75mm), GWTT750℃, GWF1960℃ and other flame retardant grades, and pass the 70℃×168hours water test (UL746C), and at the same time, it can fully satisfy the requirements of environmental protection regulations such as RoHS and REACH.

Production and preparation process

1, complex decomposition precipitation method: the use of sodium pyrophosphate and piperazine in hydrochloric acid solution to produce insoluble piperazine pyrophosphate precipitation product, but due to the low solubility of raw material sodium pyrophosphate, resulting in low concentration of the reaction solution during the synthesis process, and at the same time, the piperazine pyrophosphate yield is low.

2, piperazine diphosphate condensation method (used more): this method firstly synthesizes piperazine diphosphate intermediate, and then piperazine diphosphate dehydrated and condensed to synthesize piperazine pyrophosphate, the yield of piperazine pyrophosphate synthesized by this method is relatively high.

 

Application field

Piperazine pyrophosphate can be compounded with MPP, MCA, hydroxide, etc. It is suitable for reinforced and non-reinforced materials of thermoplastic resins such as PP, PE, EVA, TPE, TPU, etc. It can also be used in thermosetting materials such as epoxy resin and unsaturated resin.

 

Processing Precautions

1, in the processing and use, in order to achieve the appropriate plasticizing effect, it is recommended to use a lower processing temperature, it is recommended not to exceed 230 ℃.

2, piperazine pyrophosphate flame retardant system filler and color powder may have adverse effects on flame retardant, calcium carbonate, carbon black, phthalocyanine green and so on will lead to flame retardant efficiency decline, or even failure. The use of fillers and color powder should be verified.

 

Packing/Storage: 25kg/bag: transported as general chemicals, stored in dry and cool place, avoid direct sunlight.
